Toll rates with a CO2 component

Toll rates per kilometre of toll roads are set by the Regulation of the Government of the Czech Republic No. 240/2014 Coll. as amended with effect as of 1 March 2024. The toll for using a specific section is given by a multiple of the rate and the length of a section.

Toll rates comprise a road charge, air pollution charge, traffic-based noise pollution charge and a CO2 emission charge. A detailed overview of toll rates can be downloaded here. 

Toll rates are divided according to:

  • road category (motorways; 1st category roads)
  • vehicle category (vehicles in the electronic toll system except for M2 and M3 category vehicles; M2 and M3 category vehicles)
  • vehicle emission classes (up to EURO IV class; EURO V and EEV class; EURO VI class; using only electricity or hydrogen as fuel)
    maximum permissible weight of a vehicle or a vehicle combination (over 3.5 tons and less than 7.5 tons; at least 7.5 tons and less than 12 tons; at least 12 tons)
  • number of axles of a vehicle or a vehicle combination (2 axles; 3 axles; 4 axles; 5 or more axles)
  • vehicle CO2 emission classes (CO2 class No. 1; CO2 class No. 2; CO2 class No. 3; CO2 class No. 4; CO2 class No. 5)
